It's just a matter of finding some quick information via the net (this weekend) as I'll probably offer to purchase one of the ones at the
Perth Show. We need one for some remote work coming up very soon. As I'm offshore all next week I'm trying to get some answers or knowledge on what people may have paid recently.....

Thanks Bucky, no doubt. I was hoping to find someone that had recently brought one. They have got a 'show special' at the
Perth 4wd show, advertised for $25,000 or thereabouts.

G'dat Willie
I am looking at my Tax Invoice for the CT you are asking about - 8th May 2007.
Total Price $25855.00 - The $55.00 was for an extra hitch receiver I had added to the back end of the CT so I could put my bike rack there for bicycle

John, I have heard that quite a lot of bikes that are on racks at the back of CTs get damaged as they hit the road. There is a lot more shaking at the back as the
suspension exaggerates the movement and the rack breaks up. Just make sure it is adequetly engineered.

G'day Will
Yes I love it - have not had the opportunity to do any long trips as yet (b.........y work) but it gets used for any short break I can take and it makes weekends away so much easier. The only things I have done to it to date are the inclusion of a 2nd deep cycle battery to give me longer use of the fridges and lighting without having to use the Honda genset and, as I don't use LPG for cooking, I have removed the gas cylinder holder brackets and fitted a lockable box in it's place to safe store the Honda.
Oh and a 3 stage charger is fitted to the outside part of the fridge holders. The 2nd DC battery sits on a custom (
home made) bracket next to the 2 Waceo's
JohnR
Yes mate I'm aware of the extra leverage on the rack however the one I will use one of these days is a proper "BikeRack" with a bit of additional webbing welded in the lower part to add strength so hope it will be OK. Time will tell and anyway the bike that will be hanging there is a old Repco that cosy about $200.00 about 25 years ago so no great loss if it gets damaged.
Cheers

No point in my telling work I'm going fishing - have not fished seriously for about 30 years. But I could try to convince them to let me wander the major shooting events across the country (sporting clay targets and Single Action (Cowboy western style) and see if they'd pay that one. Nah No way. The bosses all believe that guns kill people

Way back when I used to fish hard chasing big Kingfish I used a 30lb roller tipped rod with a big Penn Senator reel loaded with 30lb line and those damm fish used to kill me then so no way am I trying that again.
Maybe a nice little 2lb trout sometime but nothing big
